Sounds good GMAN I seen a pick-up at the gas station last night…. an older lady was pumping gas and she says to her friend…”look at all that bread in that truck” It had a topper and was heaped…. bet they thought that guy had a real problem laying off the dough
August 14, 2009 at 3:47 pm #55501First time in 4 years i wont be going, didnt even apply this year, setting up the baits and checking them is the fun part i think. Good luck and take lots of pictures, ill be going up next weekend to rebait some sites for my uncles
lickPosts: 6443August 14, 2009 at 5:46 pm #55514I’m heading up near Walker to help a cousin bait this weekend. A friend is going over to WI to water our food plots and a couple other friends are off scouting for a muzzle loader deer hunt we are going on in Nov. I need to be in three places at once this weekend. I don’t think it can get much better than that!
August 14, 2009 at 6:18 pm #55515I am heading to our new 120 acres tonight, I got a Bobcat with a 72″ brush mower on the front of it. It is totally virgin/uncleared land and we are putting a trail system in and clearing some patches for food plots Nice thing about it… the Bobcat has A/C !!!

Now YOU’RE TALKING!
This weather demands patience for me…Hot, humid, rain…berries up the yang, as well as apples and chokecherries. I would not be worried if the baits show smaller bears, sows/cubs with all the food available.
As September rolls in and we start to get some cool nights (especially the 1st frost) those shy, more mature(previously hunted) bears will start coming aroundGood Luck this season GMAN!
August 14, 2009 at 8:48 pm #55525Didnt get pulled for the first time this season… May be the cameraman this year

August 19, 2009 at 5:17 pm #55801Joel Baseball is a girl sport We can talk football if you want
ummm Gut you just remember what you asked and when I get my post up you will tip over Way to funny you asked that ( it’s a long time camp joke )August 19, 2009 at 5:20 pm #55802Baseball was the only sport we could play where you actually got fatter as the season progressed. We beat up on the Byron Bears something fierce for football too. 42-7 or something in ’97? Tell me you were on that team!

Hey now, this comes from a guy who’s avatar pic had so many extra chins, not even a charcoal-photoshop rendition could get rid of them.

August 20, 2009 at 2:55 pm #55889Funny, I remember in 96 the BOMBERS were ranked pretty high, top 5 in the state in baseball, if I remember correctly. Then the Bears came in and beat em at their own park and fell off the rankings for the rest of the year.
I do believe that’s the only time we beat the bombers while I was playing. Is Bucky still coaching?
August 20, 2009 at 3:02 pm #55890Of course our rankings were terrible in 96. If the bad news bears could beat us, then anybody could.
96 was just practice for when we went to state in 97. The ace of our staff tried out for the LA Dodgers and went on to pitch for the St. Paul Saints.

August 20, 2009 at 3:49 pm #558971997…..you were still trying to hide your poopy underwear when the Bears of my day were rolling all over your squads. Football, Baseball, Basketball, Wrestling….take your pick. But, that was a long, long time ago, and now were all drinking beers together next weekend at the IDO Bow Opener GTG. Ain’t it funny when you looked back at your highschool rivals, some of them guys are now my good friends and best customers too.
