I have been a clam customer for 20+ years and have never had anything but excellent customer service from them. When I purchased by last house I looked hard at both clam and otter, but with the excellent service that I’ve had in the past from clam I choose them and could not be happier.
Too bad the first person would not have helped out like the second…….
In a perfect world, everyone we hire would be as motivitated and enthusiastic about his or her job every day. I know I wish I was. 
Yes, it’s too bad the first person didn’t solve the problem right, the first time. The key for me, with any business, did they do the right thing in the end, even though it may have been a bit “painful” getting to the solution.

Working in a customer service driven profession my main focus is the same as Kooty stated above. I’ve had my team screw up and do things they shouldn’t have but as long as they came through and did the right thing in the end, all was well.
I guess some words to live by would be“Do the Right Thing!”
Wouldn’t life be great if everyone could just remember that before doing something stupid?
