Trail Cam Bears

Started my baiting just after the 4th of July as well. Only baiting two stations once every three days with powdered sugar donuts, jellies, peanut butter, molasses through the end of last week.

Now baiting every day and have put up one of two stands for the hunting next week!!! Am starting an excel spreadsheet to get a log of when bears are hitting my baits to see when might be a better time for a paticular animal. I have one digital cam and one film cam. Just had one blunder that cost me some film time, but got it back up and running and can’t wait to see what’s been hitting that station. The digital took 57 pics in the last 24 hours and while some are of coons, ravens & squirrel, the majority were bear. Haven’t analyzed it enough yet, but I think I had three or four different bear in there today and the last pic was of one dashing off into the woods just before my arrival.

Really weird, it just took me like 10 minutes to get this posted and now its off like a rocket again!!! Will try to get a pic up.

this was one of the smaller bears in early August. I have actually moved my cam to the tree just above the head of this animal. It gets knocked around a little, but it is getting much better pics.

Cool pics, now you got me pumped. My cameras set out, and will be checked friday night. Been there since sunday morning. I don’t think I will get any bears, but hopefully some deer.

Thanks guys, hope to add some more here as DSL was a little funky last night. Also have some that when reduced by the email feature are still a little too large to be accepted by the site. It may take me some time to get those up, but they may be the better pics that I have in terms of size of bear!!!

Great pics…going out todayto check my camera. Unfortunately, I don’t have a bear guard…hope it’s okay. Supposedly, the local bear I’m trying to get a photo of is quite big. The local cabin owners describe him as having low or no belly clearence…that has to be big. Hope to post pics soon.
