Well if you missed it last night the gophers hung with the badgers till the last couple of minutes but the badgers prevailed. That Rigsby played a hell of a game with 18 pts only averaging 5.4 a game. Gopher fans problably wondering where that has been all year. The badgers need to clean up the turnovers and step it up for the ncaa tournament.

They are not wondering where it came from but why wasnt he playing earlier. He has been big lately and hadnt been in a game for over a month or something stupid like that.

I wish I quit watching when they took the lead with a 3 or 4 minutes to go.

Went to the golf sim last night and they didn’t have the big ten network so didn’t get to watch. I checked the score early in the second half and the gophs actually had a small lead but never really expected them to pull out a win.

St. Thomas has the 2 seed in the summit league tourney and plays Denver tonight. They split the series with #1 Omaha this year so hoping they get a chance to play again on a neutral court. If they win that tourney it will be a national story since they still aren’t eligible for the ncaa tournament.

First half turnovers were an issue. They had 1 turnover the entire second half. Tonje’s foul trouble plus poor shooting from 3 were game long issues.

Interesting to note that 5/17 of the Badgers rostered players are from Wisconsin, and 5 are from Minnesota. The Badgers miss out on pretty much all the most premier in state talent that ends up in blue chip programs, but they’ve done very well collecting mid ranking prospects the last decade + from Minnesota and developing them.

Same thing happens for MN. I can’t remember the last time one of the top kids from MN stayed here. Usually there are 2 or 3 each year and they all go elsewhere. Asuma was a high recruit this year that stayed here but I don’t think he was the caliber of many of the others who left recently. Like chet holmgren etc.

Haven’t watched a minute this season. Are they on track for the NIT?
