    Thinking on heading out to bayport Saturday. Any word on the ice out there? Plan to park by the ice road on Minnesota side. Think it should still be safe to do? Any help is great. Thanks

    I know my coworker’s got his 18′ wheel house out there if that’s any indication.

    Ok good to know. Just was curious with warm temps tomorrow if the shore edges would be good. Couple guys at work made me question. Thanks for the feedback.

    I was out of the winter access in Bayport last Sunday and when I left early Monday morning there was several inches of water standing on the ice at the access and large puddles everywhere between the access and where I was fishing. There was 18 inches of ice where I was fishing on the Wisconsin side but getting on the ice with a truck at this point might be a challenge.

    What about the ferry landing Wisconsin side? I know Minnesota side unless you park on ice there really isn’t a spot to park by the ice road exit. Typically you have to park on ice. I just hope it’s ok. Really want to get out on the Minnesota side one last time for the elusive sturgeon!
