There’s a nice ice breaking cabin cruiser down there at the harbor bar , think it could do us fisherman a favor
Ron and I took his trawler out in 2019 to break up ice in the harbor.
Red Wing wasn’t too happy with us because breaking through the ice puts side pressure on the polls that hold up the docks. If they get pushed too far, the dock won’t move up and down with the fluctuating water level. Ron passed away the following fall.
On a bunny trail, Ron build that red boat to go to Antarctica with. Took him 10 years to build it. I don’t remember all the specs but it has a 4 foot prop.
Two engines, one a 4 cylinder (the fuel sipper) and the other an 8 that by moving a lever changes which engine is pushing the boat.
It has 4″ of steel in it’s bow.
Composting toilets.
Radiator heat in the floor.
Live aboard all 12 months in comfort.
And once inside below deck, is truly and amazing work of craftmanship.
