I would like to one of these years but the 2 hour drive always changes my mine. My nieces husband fishes in it.

I’ve done it the last few years. I’ll probably go again this year. It’s always a good time. Not the same as the Jaycees or Poutfest, but still a good time.

Al, what lake do you fish? do you drive on ice? This would be our 1st time as my son moved to new london. Just looking for info as to bring wheelhouse or portable. Thanks for any info

I’ve done this tournament a couple of times and I would say a portable and a wheeler or sled would be much preferred. Its a big lake with a lot of shallow water and it seems to me that if you aren’t on fish you need to move move move. Not to mention with this mild winter we have had I wouldn’t be crazy driving out there. Have fun its a good time for getting together with friends.

Portable! Bago system is all about moving. If your not on fish, move, move, move. Tight_Lines is spot on with that. Additionally, a lot of eyes cruise just feet beneath the ice. Vehicle traffic can blow a spot like a ballon popping.

I do Winnebago. I never drive on the Winnebago system at all. It’s just a system that scares me with driving vehicles on. I’ll park at a landing and take a snow machine or wheeler.
