Guys, I am looking at the 12v jr model that puts out 750mA. Just wondering if you guys like them or are there better ones to look at? If you have used one how long have they prolonged your battery like years or? Also, I store my atv in a shed so not sure if the cold would still get to ruining the battery.

Just getting sick of having to replace the ATV battery every year and wondering if these actually work.
    Thx

I don’t have that specific model but I have a dual output battery maintainer/charger from Battery Tender that I keep the pontoon and rv battery hooked up to all winter and it’s been good. Battery Tender stuff is generally good to go.

I have a few of them and love them. I’m not sure how much the extend the battery life but it sure is nice to always have the batteries topped off.

eelPout, I guess a better question would be how long is it until you “typically” have to replace a battery while using one? Like 2 years or 5 yrs, etc.

Reason I ask is b/c I have a charger and can just charge it every so often thus just wondering if these “tenders” prolong the life of the battery

I was changing out my riding lawn mower battery every year. Since using the battery tender I’m going on four years for that battery.
I have the pigtails on the mower, an ATV, and S×S. So easy to use,

Man nice to hear! That is exactly what I was wondering if they actually prolong the battery which sounds like they do. I will be buying shortly. Thx man!

Do you really have to buy a new battery for it every year? How long is the warranty on a standard atv battery?

well have had to buy two in the last two years. First one only had a 6mth warranty on it and it crapped out on the next season. Second one I had for 11 months and thankfully this one had a 12 month warranty on it and amazon replaced which I was lucky. Being that I am tired of replacing these looking to hopefully prolong their life :/

Granted the ATV its in doesnt get driven a lot which could be why

I also have a atv that doesn’t get much use. I bit the bullet and put the biggest Interstate battery I could fit in it. The charger goes on it once a year about this time a year because when I start to get it ready for ice season it has to turn over awhile before firing up if I don’t use starting fluid.

The store brand cranking battery on my boat is from 2013 and still is going strong. I put it on a battery tender in the garage for Winter only. To me, 6 years for a cheap battery seems pretty solid. It will probably get swapped out for a new anyways in March when the boat is back on the river.

I use the noco 750. Bought an extra set of clamps, leave them attached to my quad battery. Easy to charge all my batteries for sonar units, quads, sleds with one charger.
