Hey everyone, I’m looking at a battery auger for inside my fishhouse. What does everyone like? K-Drill,Ion, Strikemaster? Let’s here it.

My vote goes to something with reverse to flush the slush down so you don’t have to scoop buckets of slush out after drilling holes.

I needed a new drill this summer anyway, so I’m planning an 8″ kdrill. As long as it works I’m looking forward to the extra space inside the house.

How good does the reverse work? never seen one in action. do you still end up scooping some out or does it really work that good?

If you flush the ice down the hole, do you end up dragging it back up with every fish that gets outside the auger cone?

No. And for some reason if you use reverse next to a hole in the house that you just did, very little spreads over to the previous hole. I have no idea why, but it doesn’t. There is a small amount left in the hole to scoop out. But I’m picky. For my 6 holes in my wheel house it’s about a half a 5 gallon bucket worth.
