Just wondering what kind of battery life people are getting out of their Aqua-Vu micro’s. This one is about 3 or 4 years old and I only seem to get about 3 hours before the battery drains.

I’ve never used mine for constant use. More for scouting an area for 5-10 minutes then tuck it away in the pocket until I head to the next spot. However last winter I fished quite a bit and used the Micro quite a bit and the battery level never got below 1/2, and I think I only charged it once closer to the end of the season.

I bought mine used and think it’s about 3-4 years old.

I’d think 3-4 hours is pretty decent, considering your phone only lasts an hour or two if the screen is on continuous.

I would get about 4 hours out of mine when I owned it. Great tool for quick checking bottom composition and activity without the hassle of a fullsized unit. Once I gained trust in myself for reading bottom composition off my Vex, I couldn’t get over the hassle of the thin cable and sold it to a friend. If you’re looking for more of a unit to actively fish with, a full-sized camera might do you better offering better camera quality and a much longer run time.

I use mine only for scouting and identifying marks I see on the sonar. Rarely have it on more more than a few minutes at a time. With nearly 40 days on the ice last year I believe I charged mine once mid-season.

I may have mine on and off all day and it will last. I like to have it on just to actually see the fish and whatever activity is going on down there. It is a fun little tool, although I still depend on my flasher. I do recharge the battery after every extended outing.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Guess the battery is not as bad as I thought. Have a great ice fishing season.
