I know its been discussed before, but looking for new batteries for the trolling motor. What is the best one for the buck. I have Interstate Megatrons now, 27 series.
I’ve had good luck with the EverStart Maxx at WalMart. Last set (3) of 29’s lasted 6 seasons and bought another set this spring. Should it go bad while on a trip, a WalMart is somewhat close by. These have a 24 month warranty.
I looked into Interstates because of great reviews, but at $142 a pop I stuck with the Everstart at $100 per.
I have 3 interstates total in the boat since 2010. And just bought the same ones again 1 month ago. Nothing wrong with the old ones, just figured it was time to replace them.

I have to agree with this. This is year #5 for me on the 2 I have & still going strong. Have had good luck with Interstate too, but for the money the Everstarts are my recommendation.
I have always been a Interstate battery guy. I am just curious
How many deep cell battery makers are there in the US ?
Is this a case of a few makers making them for other retailers ?
