The Bassmaster Classic starts this Friday. Andy Young will be only the 2nd Minnesota fisherman to fish the classic. The current forecast for the 3 days of the tourney sound more like our local weather than you would expect for Greenville NC. The forecast for The 1st day ( Friday ) is for a low of 24 Deg. with the high for the day at only 33 Deg. Only slightly better for the next 2 days after that. Hopefully the cold may help a local fisherman who has probably fished more days in those conditions that most of the field. If any of you have had the chance to meet or fish with Andy you know what a great fisherman and guy he is. Good Luck Andy and stay warm !!!!

College NCAA fishing finals last year was won by the University of Minnesota. It was 30 degrees in South Carolina and I think the Southern schools suffered. Saw our local lads put on their winter coats with what looked like a local ski pass still hanging from the zipper. Too funny, but they stayed warm and pulled it out. Hope Andy does the same on the big stage…

Not sure of the coverage. Since ESPN sold BASS I don’t think there has been live coverage. You can watch the weigh in live on the web. Go to Bassmater.com and click on the liv e weigh in link. Starts at 3:30 Eastern time I believe
