I had the chance to get out yesterday, with rising water and willingness to break a little ice we were able to find an area with water temps in the 43-44 degree range two of us boated 50 bass! The bite was so light you would often miss thinking it was a small twig, but once you figured it out they were on.
Many in the 2lb range and a few in the 3lb range.
I was SHOCKED and very pleasantly surprised.
With the water coming way up it will screw it all up shortly.
This was a very good day and a great way to start the season.
PS. I was not on any numnbered, mud or anything that ended in lake!
