    Hey, yeah I’m fishin’ it

Think we could lure JC up to fish with Fleck? I think a case of Linies should do it.

How was the vacation w/ the little Mrs & padres?

    Thanks ,

Most people sign-up the day of, but they usually pull in 30-40 boats. Weather should be decent, so it could be more…

If I see ya I’ll say hi

Just look for a black/red Champion with 150 Merc. Not sure what I’ll be towing with though. Someone vandalized my truck Easter weekend. They pulled the oil drain plug out and I fried the engine. $1,500 later, it might be fixed by Saturday.

    You know… that sucks.

I fished with a pro once who made it to the finals & came out of his motel the morning of only to find his spark plug wires on his boat cut -he had extras though. HE SAID HE WAS USED TO IT!

    Thanks,

Vandalized? are you sure you didn’t pi$$ somebody off? Taking out a drain plug isn’t hard to do, but why this risk of crawling under somebody’s truck just to do that? Strange indeed. Sad to hear as well.

    Sorry

    Well…

Spring Fling Finished yesterday w/ a winning weight of 27.xlb’s. Big Fish If i’m not mistaken was 5.5lb’s.? Congrats to whoever won There were over 50 boats entered. 56 to be exact??

OTW and I started off up the black to where I had been on fish all week. I think I might have made the mistake of fishing that area too heavy throughout the week, as they had nearly turned off yesterday morning. We (mostly OTW ) caught some dinks and lost a potential 5lb’er, and that seemed to be the case the rest of the day. We were finding fish, but having problems getting them into the boat. I almost lost a 4lb’r netting it b/c I lost the line as the fish dove, but we managed that one and another 1.xlb. something. Didn’t matter anyway b/c we were DQ’d for being late. All of our fish came off or nearby Rock structure on RattleTraps/Spinners.

Coulda/woulda/shoulda but oh well. I had an Excellent time.

Gotta send thanks out to Jeff for making the trip up. Great guy and really knows his stuff. It was a pleasure fishing w/him.

DanWI, it was good to finally meet you as well . I recognized your skeeter that morning b4 we pulled out and figured it was you.

Also good to see the guys from IA-RC Tackle. Damn Walleye Tourney (They’ll know what that means!!)

Wats/Johnl–>Glad you guys had fun, Gear up for the next one

My cousin and I fished it. Caught lots of nice keepers, but couldn’t find any of the really big bites we needed. Finished with 19.5 lbs and 3.5 for big bass.

    3.5lbs for big bass? Hmm.

We were 5 min late & we were DQd.

Let’s see… We broke a nice one off, lost two more & put two in the boat.

We pounded from start to finish; we also caught tons of dinks.

I have to say that everone that I had met at this tournament & via Slop Bass was very nice to me. Great conversations were had, too.

Ma & Pa Slop took me in, gave me a place to sleep & even fed me! When I had to go up to MN on business, they let me leave my boat at their place! That’s what it’s all about.

Also, if you get a chance, ask Slop Bass about those little slippers he wares .

    Have a good one ,
