any one have any guesses when we can catch a bass here on pool 7 or 8, in open water? three weeks? four weeks? any guesses? could it be in March? or when in April?

according to that accuweather forcast, we have been below average for a high temp for about two weeks again, and are supposed to be for close to a week more..

some one give us a date? April 15th? later or eariler?

I am just glad that I am on pool 13. I will be fishing before to long. Back waters have started to open up on the banks and the islands. couple more warm days and some light rain and I will be on the water.

I’ll be out in the area for the first time this week. Probably Friday afternoon by the looks of things. We’re right on schedule.

yeah well, because of your post, Cade, I spent last night dreaming about this spot and catching bass.. except, we never got on the water and I spent my whole time driving around looking to see if the ice was gone..

I was more exhausted then before I went to bed.. just because of this one post..

That just it as soon as it busts loose the river will jump high as hell.
Perhpas the Ol Miss could use a good douching? There seem to be many a backwater that has been filling with decaying weeds and goo from the last several years. Perhpas this could clean some of that out? Might be good might not??
