In some news that may not come as shock to some, the 2011 Bassmaster Weekend Series schedule does not include the MN/WI Division.
Personally, I’m sorry to see it go. I know it was plagued with low boat counts so it’s not a surprise to me at all.

yeah seen that too. Thats to bad there is some things they could have defiantly worked on to get a better turn out. Why do they need to send all that stuff trailer help etc. You’ld think there would be somebody local that would run that for them.

vern..his son and myself, are locals.. that was never the issue… i/e they did have locals once upon a time
Who cares – It was a river series anyway – dominated by locals.
Nothing really lost there, except for Jimmy Johnson and his posse’
Dog
I don’t think you can say that. Them guys put there time in and they are rewarded for that.
guys on the river are babies and never want to fish tonka. guys on tonka are babies and never want to fish the river.
well as a non tourny fisherman for over 10 years, I take exception to that last statement..
these river guys can go anywhere in the state and find fish.. they are trained to adjust.. constantly..
why? because the river changes constantly..
lakes , not so much..
so when the fish “move” on a lake, river guys just go find the fish.. not where “they should be”…
the old LaCrosse Bassmasters dominated the state tourny’s for years.. I mean ONE, TWO, THREE, and then some..
on places that they had never been to before.. I just wouldn’t say, that these guys are “babies”…
I would say, that they are DARN GOOD FISHERMEN..and leave it at that..
all of them… if you ever placed in a tourny on the river.. your talent speaks for itsself..
Totally agree look a jimmys results the guy and his posse can defiantly fish anywhere and compete with the best of them.
I’m a pretty defiant angler myself. I can defiantly catch them. I agree with old rat, if you fish lakes you suck. All the guys who fish the river are the best in the world, just look at van dam and skeet, they grew up fishing in la crosse. Not only can they catch lots of giant bass, but they can cook the hell out of meth too.

someone needs to go fishing.
and I don’t mean trolling…
Damn right we can cook the hell out of the meth. best in the tristate area.
Might be best in the tri-state, but nationally northern alabama is still number one. “Meth mountain” baby. Otherwise known as Fort Payne, AL.
P.S. the fishing has been good. Mostly jig, a few on the frog still too.
the only thing I know about fort paine is that its on the way to Guntersville.. and it has REPO LAND..and unclaimed suitcase village.. other then that..
I also believe that there’s a great place for blackned Fish and catfish..
but no meth..
but I am too busy worrying about finding bass on BIG G instead of drugs..
