I believe she knows the laws well. A tournament director told the fisher people that it was a cull tournament. She culled as I’m sure many others did, but she did that post tourney interview saying she culled thinking she could get away with it. I still can’t believe she did that.

Look its to bad her interview went the way it did. I hope that everyone thinks before giving interviews in the future. The fact is just because someone gives you bad info your still responsible to know the laws. She isn’t a newcomer to the sport. She knew that culling was illegal. She just relied on poor information.

Okay.. I wasn’t going to get in this.. but.. EVERYONE who caught a bass in the tourny “culled”..

because you RELEASED your fish at the end of the contest, you “culled” because that fish was not acceptable to go Home..

so , in reality in every tourny EVERYONE CULLS..

because you later released your fish.. in actuality.. Culling..

you just didn’t add a bass.. you just turned your bass loose..

I love how most everyone on here didn’t even fish the tournament the discussion is about. Hey Ronningen, did you know there’s a pool 6,7,8,9, and 10? Oh wait, you did fish LaCrosse back on 8/16/09. Ok ok, I’m just giving you a hard time, don’t take offense at it. I just get a kick out of all this discussion out of people who weren’t even there at the tournament meeting or weigh-in.

Didn’t mean to ruffle any feathers. Don’t take everything so seriously.

Personally i feel that if there is a “no cull” in effect, you should obide by the rules. Kinda sounds like steroids in sports. Alot of people do it/use, but not alot of people admitt to it. Just a comparasion. Maybe we need more people/officials on the water during the tournys? Just a thought.

Culling is impossible to enforce, and because of that you’ll always have people doing it…This causes a chain reaction that causes everyone to partake in it, because you are at a disadvantage if you don’t. You can put more officials out on the water, but good luck paying 200 + additional people no less than 8 bucks an hour to make sure that each angler’s catch is legally obtained. Things are fine the way they are. People just need to keep their mouths closed and follow their own morals, not trying to force theirs on one another.

    * and what I mean on forcing morals…I’m talking about what Savik tried to do. None of my statement was geared toward anyone here on IDO.
