I’ve been known to fish that pool a couple times each year . I would try and target backwater lakes with the most weeds in them yet. The weeds are starting to die so finding the greenest is the key. I would start by throwin frogs and then swimjigs and spinnerbaits around isolated weed clumps. You could try the ambro area of lakes and then maybe around Bagley. Also weeds choked points and tail ends of islands may pay off. If you catch one there will probally a few more in there. Good Luck, Dan

X 2 Maybe throw a senko type worm into the duck weed. I had good luck fishing every lay down I could find at PD. Good luck

let me say that on Saturday.. the day after the big front went through, nothing hit on the surface.. and I was SHOCKED by the amount of lack of pads.. the coontail and milfoil is there but the pads are GONE, like we had a severe frost ( which we have not had)..

I did not try a senko but I should have.. I had blade hits on the spinnerbait.. like they wanted to hit.. but hit the blades instead..

go ahead and start on pool ten, then lock right up to lansing . pool 9s thirty times better, seriously its worth the extra 27 miles.
