For me it has been in the 0-2 scale. I have not been out much and when I have, I have little to show for it. There have been a few OK days but generally no so good!
    BUT
    There is always tomorrow!

3- About Average… Normal so far.

Things have been going well as far as finding fish in my usual spots. I have done some exploring and found new spots as well. Last weekend was below average on my home lake but you have to expect bad days here and there. Last night I got out with a buddy to a new spot and we had a great time with the crappies, smallies and a few eyes.

    4. Lots of time on the water and a fair amount of nice sized fish coming in.

2 Struggled big time this spring hope it turns around soon. It seems like the more I know and learn the less fish I catch. I think Ive been spending too much time moving and switching presentations to catch anything. The river gave me the big b**#% slap this spring and millacs on sat we only got 4 fish. Did get a 26.5 which was my biggest for the year so far. But last year when I knew about half of what I know now I think I caught more fish. Or I was just happier catching less. Leech this weekend Im feeling a comeback!

Happiness is shiner scales on the new Fenwick Elitetech Jigging stick!!!

That said, I’ll give the season a 5 so far. I waited until today to open and spent it on Upper Red Lake. This was my best ever open water Walleye day for numbers. Now all I have to decide is where am I going in the morning, Plantaganette, Bemidji, Cass, Winnie, Leech????? Sure a tough problem to have spending my spring vacation headquartered out of Bemidji.

    2.5…
Started out at a solid 5 with one of my best big fish springs ever. Once tournaments began and the water fell so did my rating..I have cashed a check in 2 out of 8 tournaments so far and bombed twice (though one was a small tournament). Other than a 6th place in the MSBC and a monday night win it has been upper-mid pack all season. I’m looking to turn it around in June. I have a couple weeks to get back in the zone and recover. Its coming into the time of year that best suits me.

Same as MikeW 4. I’ve caught more bass this year than in the previous 2 or 3 years. I’m well into double digits and I caught 3 today including a nice 17″ smallie. And I’m not even fishing for them.

I’d say about a 4. So far no real big fish but the numbers for the most part have been there. I do think the fish are harder to pattern this year because of the significant water temperature changes.

I would say a solid 3-3.5, like birdman said, the numbers have been there as ive caught hundreds of bass right from ice out til now. But the size hasnt been there yet, hopefully that will change tho

2 for me. The season started out very hot with good numbers and size, but it has been steadily declining. Last weekends BFL was an epic disapointment, however, last nights fishing indicates the bite might be on the rise again….I hope

I can’t really give a number. I have not been able to be on the water like I want. I thought I would get lots of water time with weekends off this summer, but my wife has other ideas

When I have been on the water its been decent. I have fished two tournaments and been in the top three both times. That is with out any prefishing at all.

    4. A 3rd in st. judes is a step in the right direction. Also a win in a smaller tournament during the spawn is a plus for me.

idk ide say a 3. i started off the year good with my biggest fish so far a 7lb 3 oz largemouth in the middle of march in the open water. it has pretty much been the highlight so far this year. numbers have been good but the big fish (4+ lbers) have been near non existant for me this spring, early summer. with one here and there but nothing great. finished a tad out of the money in the lax weekend series and 2nd place 3 weekends in a row, it has been a mediocre year at best. i did win big bass with a lucky 4 14 largemouth last weekend tho.

I rate my season as a 5+, NO, not that I do that good, just that I get to go.Just remember it isn’t catching it is fishing. I go with friends that like to fish but if they don’t get something it is still a good day. Jerry
