I met BC fresh off his Vegas Trip to do a little bassin’ this afternoon. For all of you here in LAX this past weekend – you know the weather sucked…clouds, rain, cooler temps and 20-30+ winds beat us down …fish still bit, but not like they could’ve.

Fast Forward one day….upper 50’s….0-8mph winds…Sunshine…Got on the water @ 5p.m. It took about 30 minutes to get dialed in but once we did, fishing was just sick.

We literally caught 100 or more bass….I think everying came on Rat-l-traps…..color didn’t matter….We were averaging a strike every 4-8 seconds after a cast was made. (I know b/c I was counting) You just couldn’t ask for more in 2 hours of fishing.

My analysis of all phases of spawn going on I believe to still be accurate….We actually found beds today very shallow…however the majority of our fish were staging pre-spawners…but they are ready to go….I can tell you that much…

    Great afternoon of fishing

Those are the days you remember… awesome!
I remember such a day some years ago where we got an early top water bite like that…bass blowing minnows up all over…We ripped Pop Rs and must have caught near 100… Fun!
