With the water level startin to level off on pool 10 and the weather heatin up the past couple days, my partner (boods) and I thought we’d be in for some good bassin today. As the day moved on the bite got better for us, they were on the chow Most fish were caught on a shallow diving cranks on points that dropped off into deep water. They wouldnt take a lipless crank at all but they seemed to like a DT-4(boods made the transition from the red eye shad to a shallow crank and was greeted by a 3 3/4 lb largie, your welcome boods, 1. for landing that fish, 2. for picking that crank out for u at cabelas ) As good as everyones done with lipless cranks this year, I’m about ready to throw all of mine in the drink It was probably the worst day possible to be on a crankbait bite too, we had no pliers in the boat! Boods big one ate it deep to(literally almost to the butthole we couldnt get a pic of this fish as he was startin to bleed, sry) but with my assistance we were able to get the hooks out and set her free. Caught some fish on football jigs as well off of drops but the cranks did most of the damage. Get out and catch some bass they are startin to go! Lots of fat females today too

    Nice post Jon.
As far as that plier thing goes, two words……….”leatherman wave”. Wear it! Only take it off the belt for funerals and weddings. (unless your sport coat hides it )

Nope, 10″ needle nose Throw it in the Triton right now, along with a jaw spreader!

The leatherman has great features though..two knives, wire cutter, wood saw, two sided file(one side is a flat diamond file, perfect for hook point touch ups) scissors, flat and phillips screw driver, mini screw driver(perfect for a bird nest pick ) and most importantly, a bottle opener

Nice fish guys, after seeing those pics I think I gotta stop walking those “tracks” and get my boat in the water. Well Done!

Caught fish the whole time we were out, they were eatin well Finally caught a few good fish on a trap rippin it outta grass, must be a few weeks behind here for rattle trap fishin Caught prolly 10-12 keepers between the two of us, a few 3 lbers and one close to 4. The wind was annoying but it was a good day to be out. Sorry about the one picture my cousin doesnt know how to use a camera you can see half the fish atleast
