I got out today on pool 10 for a while despite the 80 mph winds Only caught one but it was a good one, caught him flipping a black/blue jig tipped off with a 3.5in RC beaver for a trailer in about 6 ft of water on a laydown.

Nice fish Jonboy!!! Its only a month away from the first tournament so I’m not sure if that fish would stay alive in your tank that long . I went golfing in that wind and man was it tough going. Nice largie, Dan

Made it out today with the ol man and my cousin. Had a fairly good day. Dad started off with a nice keeper sauger that measured 21″, very nice fish. Searched around a small backwater at the top of a cut with little success….decided to troll down the cut bank with wood and some current on it, bingo. Mostly largies but a couple smallies made it to the boat as well. we probably caught 12-15 keeper bass. Most were 2.5lb fish but a few 3s in the mix. My cousin and I each had a 4 lber come unbuttoned at the boat. Jigs were the key bait today but i did catch a nice 3 lber on a red eye shad as well. Very fun day and nice weather….up until….we got hit by some hail! nothin golf ball-like but it still doesnt feel the best driving into it Dad also caught a gar that probably went 15 lbs…made for a good laugh watching him try to get it off
