Could this be the last hurrah? Sure hope not cuz the bite so good right now. I spent the day on pool 5 introducing Dave Marquart of the Skeeter Boat Center to late fall bass fishing. We spent the first hour chasing smallies and the rest of the day educating largemouth. Because of the last run of warm evenings the water temp has gone up by three degrees and the largies were on a tear. The key today was jerkbaits on deep timber. No monsters but lots of nice fish. Bomber Long A’s and Smithwick Rouge’s did most of the damage. The smallies came on a Northland mimic minnow.
