I fished with some rookies today on pool 7.. due to the fog we started on the lake.. and the lake is a mess.. uggh..
the weeds are really breaking up… and its changed a ton in three weeks.. a whole bunch..

and all I had was two blow ups..

so we went to the river.. and ended up catching small fish on some rip rap..

    but..it was very very tough..

some one tell me the story.. cuz its a mess right now..

We fished pool 7 today also but didn’t get out till about 10 a.m. & had the same results, very very quite. We thru everything we had, caught one small l.m. on a fluke, some small northerns & that was it, off the water at 3 p.m.

Fished pool 6 on Sat. & caught one s.m. in the a.m.

Anyone else on a pattern they would like to share? We found it to be a very tough weekend for bass.

If misery likes company, I will help you out. I have fished pool 9 several times since the first part of Auguest and into Sept. and had little or no success using mostly frogs and senkos. My bass fishing skills may be in question but even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then. It has been very slow. I going back to beating the water with a spinner and some swim baits. 47 bass is a great day in anybodys book. Great work there my man.

Things went well today on pool 8 for me. I fished a 4 fish tournament with my friend with about 15 boats. We won with 4 fish for 13 lbs 4 oz. I won’t say we tore ’em up numbers wise, but….

I fished 7 and lake onalaska today from 6:30 to 2:30 and it was really slow for me, managed to catch two small smallies and one 18″ smallie (all from one small spot). I wanted to try some new spots today cause I’ve just started to learn pool 7, and nothing worked out. I have a strong feeling that if i would’ve decided to fish pool 8 instead it would’ve been even worse (weekend traffic is bad enough but holiday traffic is the worst). I’m a relative newbie to fishing, but have never been able to figure the bass out in sept. Oh well, I think my motor took a big ol’ crap today so my fishing is probably going to have to make way for hunting sooner than anticipated.

Are the fish in the photo the 4 tourney winning fish?
