Every year I say I am going to start fishing 10 and start the learning curve, and this year I am sticking to it. After looking at maps I have decided to begin in Gremore lake, however it looks like it might be easier to launch there than in prairie and boat there. can someone give me directions to the landing on gremore.

Go north towards Cabela’s, go past Cabela’s and turn left. Drive to stop sign and turn right, follow until you come to the marina and there is the ramp
April 22, 2009 at 11:06 pm #770435Hey Chippee
I live in PdC and fish pool 10 a lot!!!
if i were you, I would put in at the Prairie City Marina,,,run up north thru the no wake…work the outside edges on your way up for bass…
then once you get up into the pit area work the perimeter for northern and bass…
working your way to the west you will find a cut that will go north and south…North is heading up into Big Lake…this will also take you up into Greymore Lake if you hear du north somewhat hugging the east shore line…
On the way up you can troll # 7 jointed shad raps for walleyes and they may be heading down by now and looking for something to eat…There is a cut that goes north west out to the channel that will hold fish year round also..that is called the Roseau…
I could go on and on about this pool…good luck and most of all have fun exploring !!!
April 23, 2009 at 4:02 am #770502I explored a little bit today out of river of lakes resort. One thing I found alot of were stumps and sand bars One cut i was gunning through last year now is 8 inches deep. man did i stop fast, spent 15 minutes getting myself unstuck I did manage to find some willing bass in a back cut with lots of wood. I’ve only fished pool 10 with jeff jensen who knows where to go and how fast. i’ve got a ton to learn about this pool. Dan

April 29, 2009 at 12:01 am #772086finally a day without storms so we made our initial trip to the river, this lake guy has a lot to learn on moving water, definitly did a good job of “eliminating water” did catch 2 nice largemouth a 19 and a 17 in. both in less than 3 ft of water on a swim jig relating to wood, hung around the pit and gerndt lake areas, next time we’ll broaden our a scope a little more.
May 24, 2009 at 12:13 pm #778898made it out to pool 10 finally again, launched at winneshek marina and things were very slow for a while, worked weeds and wood with swimjigs and chompers with very limited success left this area and headed south where we finally put together a pattern of rocks and senkos, found a couple spots where they were stacked up taking 10-15 fish of each spot, nothing big but all right around keeper size, at least have a couple areas to mark down on the map now, did pay a price though backed up into a rock the rock won and the prop lost ouch!! nice fishing few people out during morning rain after weather cleared it was getting nuts. did see a few guys trolling and catching a few eyes as well.
May 30, 2009 at 2:39 pm #780483Good to see your put playing
What boat do you have?I’m running a Black Lund w/90 Opti
Say hi if I see you !!
May 31, 2009 at 1:33 am #780528what a difference a week makes only managed 5 fish today, very scattered no pattern figured out today, didnt get out til noon though and pretty windy. have owned boats for 20+ years and have never hit anything and ruined a prop. hit a rock again today 2 weeks in a row of wrecking a prop guess the law of averages is catching up to me, and am quickly learning where not to go, I run a blue alumacraft navigator 175 with a 115 opti and usually have a lost look on my face, anyone can feel free to stop and point me in a safe direction
