Decided to put my 08′ lakemaster chip in my X27c the other day and the screen froze and shut the unit off!! After several attempts of trying to load the chip I got the same results. Shortly after my GPS module was not responding and my water temp quit as well! 
Made a few calls and ended up having to send the unit into Lowrance as the chip has apparrently damaged the hardware on the unit!
Has anyone had any similar experiences with these chips?
Also, anyone got any tips for where a guy could find a similar unit to loan/borrow for a few weeks? Lowrance said it would be up to a month before I would get the unit back. Not the best news when I have pre fishing in a week and the jude in two weeks! River might be a little more interesting with out a graph!
