Well gang… Took the rig out for the last time today. I figured since last weekend was so good, this weekend might offer some tugs, too… Water temp fell from 50 last weekend to 43 today. Party cloudy skies, low water, average current, and cold water made for a BEAUTIFUL, cold fall day for my dog and I to hang out on the water one last time. Nothing biting, but it was a pleasure couple of hours to say “goodbye” to the Mighty Mississippi for 2003.
My boat will be put away tomorrow. One of the saddest days of the year each year for me… 
Okay, now that my eulogy for 2003 has been said, anyone else been out this weekend? Duckers seem to finally be happy… wet, cold weather. Birds are moving now. Hope all is well with everyone, and if anyone heads out, let me know what I am missing! 
2003: Learned a lot (thanks, guys)… had a great year, read some great postes, and had experienced great fishing… Until next year!
