Things are starting to shape up nicely on Pool 7. The topwater bite is getting better with every passing day. Fish like this Smallie are coming to the boat with regularity. When the fish won’t come to the top, c-rigs are working well, as are cranks and hair jigs. 
The water quality is the best I believe I’ve ever seen. There’s not too many times you can see 4ft deep on the main channel of the river. I was telling another member from IDO that I drifted over a flat(3ft deep) and we could see the fish laying under the patches of grass. I expect to see things like that on Mille Lacs or any other lake, NOT the Miss. River.
