How did you guys do this weekend? I went out on 8 with little success. I tried everything, but the 13 inchers that I did find were way up the Black in the wood. Is anybody on any smallies right now?

i was out Fri Sat & sun,I caught atleast 25 Bass every day.Most of them was in the 12 to 14 inch range but every day i did hook into a good Bass.I got a few in the 3# range…a couple over 4 and 1 over 5.Black river!!!! brrrrrrr im still cold just thinking about it. I was chasing some top action and put the Skeeter deep in the mud.Man that water was cold!At the start of every year my wife will put a change of cloths and a few towels in the boat.I have always told her she is taking up to much space putting the stuff in.Well Sunday i came home and thanked her 
I went out Saturday morning on pool 10 for about an hour and a half (soccer games 
) and hit a few decent bass between 13 and 17 inches. Still working the crankbaits in down timber. Had something HUGE hit next to a log in a running slough and it literally pulled the boat around without me being able to turn it at all. I pounded back a couple of times to try to set the hooks well, but it worked toward another down tree and got off 
. I never even got a glimpse of what it was 
. Big northern?, sheepie?, huge bass? That’s what keeps me pounding the water!
