35 Degrees……tear drop jig and waxie.

    open water – late march – crankbaits – probably high 40’s-low 50’s – don’t remember for sure.

Probably near 35? Casting in a little back bay when I was a kid from the shore, threw up on the ice and dragged it off, fishing open water that melted between the ice still in the middle, and shore. Caught a bunch of largies, most around 12 inches, but still was fun and really early. Caught them mostly on floating rapalas reeled really slow.

As far as big largies, I’m not really sure.

I don’t think I have ever been so excited about catching a fish that I threw up

HIGH 30’s in a city lake in MO. the fish tipped the scales at 8lbs. The bait was a home made black and green live rubber Jig.

the Earliest i’ve ever caught LM is March 26th but the water temperature was 60+ degrees. I think the coldest I’ve ever caught them is right around 42-43 degrees. I actually just got back from fishing, caught 10 largemouth all on jerkbaits and spinnerbaits fished fast. The water temp I’m guessing is 44-47..

About 45 degrees for me. Went out today for the first time this year and all I got was an 8+ pound walleye on a 1/2oz blk/brn skirted football head jig. This is the second big eye I’ve got on a bass jig..got one about 7 last year in the fall on a blk/blu jig and pig…ringworms are for wussies . J/K walleye guys/gals.
