Hey Blue Fleck,
Is the Dresbach Motel still open or did it fall over?
I have never fished on pool 9 but im sure my boat will float there.
I have never fished pool 9 but im sure my boat will float there.
I am always interested.
Talk about bragging rights.. Everyone lets pony up about 20 bucks and let the cards fall as they may. I have already had someone contact me about a weigh board, scale and some door prizes if we get this off the ground…
The 11th is not set in stone so if you all are interested you will get to see my ugly mug. Chine in and we will see how many boats we can get in it.
Hey you Eye Guys!!!!!
You all know you can catch smallies pulling cranks out on the damns. Join in the fun!

Well how did everybody do? I see a little over 24 lbs won it. I ended up with 7 and 16 lbs. 3.7 was the biggest. I also froze my friggin behind. Overall I did better than I thought I was going to.
Jc…..the 11th I’ll be on Mille Lacs pullin cranks at night with James and the winner of the free guide trip. But I got $20 to put into a kitty….
Are you talking man against man. One to a boat or teams.Buddy or draw?Let me know if we can get enuff i would be interested. Can we order warmer weather?
We didn’t do too bad….We were on lots of fish, but most were 12-13 inches long. Real Fat though. Ended up w/4 keepers, big one weighing 4.05lbs . Had a good time though. Did you get a chance to see that 5.65lb. LMB when it came in. WOW it was a HAWG!! I’d like to know where those guys found their big fish/patterns/etc..?? If anyone would like to share?
We caught a ton of bass. Most of them 13.5……ugh!I had a what looked like a good 4pd smallmouth to the boat but we had a bad experence with the net for that what was are first fish.My partner felt real bad about it.I told him it didnt matter and it didnt.*shyte happens right?*will little did i know at the time that it was just the start Alittle later for what ever reason and i dont remember but i took off my glasses and laid them on the deck …Yep…My next fish he was right there with the net.Got him in the boat good.We was both feeling good about it.I went to put my glasses back on and …Yep.he stepped on them .Ok i dont need to see anyway. Did not run into anything so i was doing good.Like i said we caught alot of fish.Didnt count but had to be around 50….no kidding Had a great day with a good friend an even weighed 3 keepers but waite my day was not done yet.we got back to the ramp i pulled up and let him out to get my truck an load the boat.He got out of the boat but left the keys in the boat so after he waved me back in i tossed him my keys!Well if anyone noticed a guy at the end of the dock with a pole in his hands trying to snag something off the bottem That was my partner an friend trying to snag***yep….thats right my keys. They even had a hooters floating device on them .i can tell you with no doubt in my mind( hooters dont float)
DanWi… whoa… at least you came out alive!
Yeah, Slop Bass… that 5.65 lb Largemouth was a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L sight! Wish I could have caught one this year… especially during a tournament! Awesome fish.
My dad and I ran to 7… we were on some 3+ lbers Thursday and early Friday… That dang wind really shut our spots down… made boat control difficult at best… fishing was just plain tough for us… Couldn’t find those blasted smallies.
We ended up running into the backwaters for sand flats and working the wood… found LOTS of fish (couple dozen or more), but only 2 keepers @ just over 6 lbs. If only we could have gotten back the first 3 hours trying to find Smallies… Live and learn, I guess.
Congrats to the winners. For those who care their were 7 limits of 8 fish, 37 total boats entered, and 17 blanks on the board. We weighed in at 19th… Oh well, it was nice to contribute our $110 to some mighty good fisherman! And, might I add, the seperation between 1st and 2nd and then to 3rd and 4th was VERY significant… a level I can hope to someday achieve.
Now, if anyone is willing to share, as I am humbled and amazingly curious… where are those hogs found? Deep? Shallow? Amongst the small ones stacked up? Alone? Are those hogs caught in the same spots on the same lures as the 1 lbers? Plastics? Cranks? Spinners? If anyone is willing to share some insights, I would be greatly appreciative… PM if you don’t want to post outright. I share a lot of what I learn and am hoping that karma earns me a couple insights…
Take care!
The 4+ lb’er I caught came out of about 1-2 feet of water. There was solid current flowing into a 90 degree bend of water. There was an uprooted tree root along w/several logs jammed into that bend….He was sitting in the slack water at the time, probably just hammering food as it came by.
Jeremy..dont look like there are any takers for the 11.Thats to bad i thought it sounded like fun
Here’s what I had in mind when I brought this up.
$30 per boat. Or $15 person.(if you can’t find a partner)
4 fish limit. (For those people that can’t find a partner and want to fish)
$5 per boat for Big Bass.
I wanted to keep this cheap so everyone can participate. If anyone has any input please feel free to contribute. I understand this is “last minute” and hopefully we can organize a bigger tourney next year.
my partner is done for the yr but im interested. If you can get enuff boats count me in.Everything sounds good and i like the idea of getting something going next yr.If i can help you in anyway let me know
Sounds like fun. Let me know when and where. I’ll fish it as long as snowballs aren’t hitting me in the behind.
So far….
Glenn Walker
Jeremy Crawford
Tom Donaldson
Dave Koonce
Dan
We have 5 people that have confirmed they would fish…
If anyone else is willing to put up with this motley looking crew chine in.
jc
I would love to do it depending on the when where type stuff…..so if we can establish a date for this…it might help the decision….:)
I laid out some guidelines for a tourney here:
