You plan on fishing it Dan? As of a week or so ago they only had 4 or 5 boats signed up. I signed up last year the day of the tourney. I don’t think they would turn anyone away.
September 21, 2003 at 11:25 pm #261686No “real” limits form my understanding. Show up and fish! Should be fun! I will be in my Dad’s 2002 Red Ranger – If you see me, say “HELLO!” – Would love to meet some of you guys in person…
Oh, and we were first with the registration, apparrantly… we drew #1!!!September 21, 2003 at 11:55 pm #261690Yes i plan on fishing it.Not many days left to fish so ya have to get it while you can I will be in a black&silver&gold Skeeter.Would be glad to meet you reel guy.So if you see an old man in a Skeeter just yell at me…
bucketmouth1Posts: 175September 22, 2003 at 1:24 am #261434Same here guys. I plan on fishing it. If the fishing is as tough as it was on Saturday it is going to be a long day. I have the black and blue stratos, fishing it with my boy. See ya all on Saturday.
September 22, 2003 at 1:52 am #261242I hope we have the time to get together an meet everyone. It would be nice to put a face with the names.
bucketmouth1Posts: 175September 22, 2003 at 8:11 pm #260092Blue Fleck I didn’t go out on 7 on Sunday after the day I had Saturday I went bow hunting instead. Why?
Dan I don’t belong to any bass club. Just fish a few open tourneys is all.
September 22, 2003 at 10:06 pm #260052Bucketmouth, I saw a Stratos out Sunday that matched the colors of your boat. Thought maybe it was you on your hotspot.
bucketmouth1Posts: 175September 22, 2003 at 11:31 pm #259984yeah right blue fleck the only hot spot I found this weekend was in my truck with the heater on on the way home Saturday. I am on absolutely no fish for this tourney on Saturday.
September 22, 2003 at 11:45 pm #259986we must be fishing the same spots bucketmouth.I think all my fish have gone south for the winter.Yep!! thats what i had (snow fish)
September 23, 2003 at 12:34 pm #259675So… with 4 days to go until the Frenzy, anyone want to make any predictions?
1. # of boats entered?
2. Winning weight for the 8 fish limit?
3. Biggest fish?
4. Biggest fish species?
5. Pool tourney won from?
6. Winner?Let’s stir up the pot and get fired up!
I am guessing 35 boats, 21 lbs, 4.1 lb Largemouth, won on Pool 8, and could it be Moss Boss and Slop Bass?
What is frustrating for me is, I sincerely believe the tourney will be won from 8 (maybe 9), and I am running to 7… this might indicate my intelligence level…
FYI: The pre-meeting is at 6:45 on Saturday at the Clinton Street Landing in LaCrosse on the west side of the bridge bythe tank. You can register there ($100). Push-off is 7 AM. Come out and have some fun!
September 23, 2003 at 12:51 pm #259669me either?? I’m fishing the tourney…but not w/Moss Boss….even though it would be an honor too!!
September 23, 2003 at 1:14 pm #259664Well, based on my prediction, then, maybe you two SHOULD fish together!!!
Who are you fishing it with, Sloppy Bassman…?
September 23, 2003 at 1:58 pm #259659I won’t be fishing in the Fall Frenzy. The partner I had asked couldn’t do it because of a previous engagement. Maybe next year! Anyone been out fishing Pools 7-9 lately? What’s happening?
September 23, 2003 at 2:09 pm #2596287 was just plain odd Saturday. Some guys caught fish and some guys didn’t. My Dad and I fell somewhere in the middle. Pete’s Bar in Dresbach had a tourney that day. It was a 6 fish limit and a few boats had a hard time catching more than one keeper. We caught 4 that weighed 10.68lbs. We didn’t stick around for the weigh in, but it didn’t look good. The wind blew and then it decided to rain. On top of that, there was a 2-day walleye tourney and every wingdam had 1-2 boats on it. I caught a 3lb walleye that I’m sure I could have sold for $500 as the Walleye bite was not good. We talked to one guy that caught 2 fish the first day and was in 8th place.—ouch— The weeds are really dying off making it hard to fish with all the floating vegetation. I hope to get out this week and decide wether or not to fish this weekend.

September 23, 2003 at 8:02 pm #2591741. 50 boat minimum…Becky Anderson (tourney contact) says anywhere from 30-40 boats…They’ve never been maxed.
2. Winning Weight: 24lbs 6ounces
3. Biggest fish: 3lbs 10ounces
4. Largemouth
5. Won from pool 8
6. Winner: Too many good fisherman to call.Good Luck All. See you there!!!! Fishing w/Pat B. in a Green Ranger Comanche’
September 23, 2003 at 8:10 pm #259176Mtn Man… high expectations… I love it!
What will you be driving? And, interesting point… can you go it alone? Hmmm…Slop Bass has a chance… of course, only is the fish are in 6″ of water… he LOVES that stuff…
23 lbs… 24.5 lbs… you guys are aggressive. If this Saturday is like last Saturday, 12 lbs might win it!
This will be fun!
September 23, 2003 at 8:22 pm #2591778 fish 28lbs as long as the wind doesn’t push guys off there spots. Nope not even streaching the truth.
24lbs if the bite is really tough. Many will have 16lbs but it will take 21 to even cash a check.

September 24, 2003 at 2:09 am #276870Hey I was just dreaming???? I love the sound of the wind, yipee. But the wind chill is gonna be cooooold. Oh and I already asked a club member if I could fish alone, before I realized it was 8 fish. Anyway wouldn’t that be neat if six fish won the thing? Now Back to my dreaming… Oh one other thing I will be amazed if this thing is won on just one pool. So let me get this straight Jeremy you think someone is gonna catch and keep 8 fish over or at 3.5#s without culling or sorting ???? “It could happen”.
No offense Reel Guy but both Saturday and Sunday we had single spots giving up more than 12#s, Oh yeah you mean Bass, I guess I can’t count sheepies and Walleye. Or was it Bass , I just get so confused sometimes.
