    Now that fall seems to be upon us, what time of day do you feel is the best to be on the river? During the summer I like to be out at sunrise and fish into the afternoon the best. Is the late afternoon to evening a better bite now?

    In the spring, I think late afternoon and evening are the best.

    Summer, probably early morning, thought sometimes near dark at night is good, sometimes heat of the afternoon is godd, sometimes…..

    Fall, I like both early morning and late evening hours, depending on the weather. Thinking back, I can remember some great mornings when temps were in the low 40’s, upper 30’s, and water temps were still in the 60’s. Buzzbait time baby!!!

    Right now, any time of the day can be best. I like to fish mornings and afternoons personally. With the days getting shorter I suggest fishing the whole day.

    early sep= Morning, evening. late sep=Mid morning, afternoon, & evening. early Oct= mid day, afternoon, early evening. late oct=early afternoon, late afternoon, possibly early evening. early Nov= probably afternoon Everything is depending on an adverage day without rain/snow. Sunny stable conditions can really turn them on in the late fall. are we all confused now???????? {John}

    Currenlty I fish early mornings or after seven pm. I’ll catch a few more during the day, but the above two times have been the best this month .

    I also definitely follow the moon phases!

    Thanks,
