Know most of you fish in and into Wisco…but just for reference/comparison I thought I’d also share with you some restrictions in place in ‘other’ lakes…
Kansas: 3 fish limits…with option to ‘buy a tournament tag’ that will allow you to have 5 in the livewell.
Iowa: tournaments to be terminated at 1PM June-August. Why? To limit that time a fish is kept in a livewell in order to minimize opportunities for delayed mortality.
Ultimately, any rules that are in place designed to improve the chances of the fish to survive the tournament angler encounter would seem to be good things. For both the fish and our sport.
