2008 Highlights
• Five qualifying tournaments that feature an at the ramp 70% payback of entry fee in cash to 15% of teams.
• A no entry fee Championship Tournament for top finishers.
• An optional “Team of the Year” competition that features a 100% payback.
• The “Alaska Lodge” Elimination Challenge features a season-long elimination format tournament for early bird entrants. The last early bird entrant standing wins a two-night lodging package valued at over $250. John Hall’s Alaska Lodge is located in Lake City, MN.

These are fund-raising events for the Alma Youth Foundation. All proceeds help fund community youth activities. Your fishing support is appreciated.

Series Highlights
Qualifying Tournaments
There are five qualifying tournaments, each with a $160 entry. Points are awarded at each qualifier. Entry fee breakdown is as follows:
$102 Placing Payout (to 15% of teams)
$10 Big Bass Payout
$16 Championship Pot
$32 Alma Youth Foundation
Championship Tournament
The 10 teams that accumulate the most points during the five qualify tournaments will be eligible to fish the Championship Tournament. Teams that entered all five qualifying tournaments but were not within the top 10 in points may become eligible to fish the Championship Tournament by paying a $50 fee ($25 to the championship pot, $25 to the Alma Youth Foundation). Teams that entered four qualifying tournaments may also become eligible by paying a $100 fee ($50 to the championship pot, $50 to the Alma Youth Foundation).
The championship pot will be split as follows: $200 for big bass, 1st Place – 60% of remaining pot,2nd Place – 25% of remaining pot, 3rd Place – 15% of remaining pot. As an example, if the five qualifying tournaments averaged 20 entries, there would be a $1600 championship pot (100 entries x $16). The $1600 would be split as follows: Big Bass = $200,1st Place = $840, 2nd Place = $350, 3rd Place = $210.
Team-of-the-Year
It is an option for each team to enter the Team-of-the-Year competition. Final placings will be determined using points and counting the best four finishes during the five qualifying events. The $100 entry fee will be paid out 100% as follows: 1st Place – 60% of pot, 2nd Place – 25% of pot, 3rd Place – 15% of pot. Teams must pay the entry fee by May 1, 2008.
Elimination Challenge
Early bird entrants will compete in the “Alaska Lodge” Elimination Challenge for a two-night lodging package valued at over $250 (located in Lake City, MN). Here’s how the season-long tournament works. After the first qualifying tournament (May 18), the top five early bird teams will advance to the next qualifying event. At subsequent qualifying events, the early bird entrant with the lowest weight will be eliminated. At the start of the final qualifier (August 17), two teams will be in contention for the prize. For each elimination round, big bass weight will break total weight ties (coin flip if big bass is also tied).
Participation
The tournament limit is five (5) bass. Events can be fished with one or two anglers per boat. Anglers fishing alone must be 18 years of age or older. A team must be comprised of at least one angler who is 18 years of age or older. No more than three individuals may comprise a team that is participating in the Team-of-the-Year, the Elimination Challenge, or for Championship Tournament qualification.
