Mixed results last night. Some boats got nothing, many had plenty of fish, just nothing large…
Water was still had low flow, but with the high winds, the waters in the channel were VERY stirred up, almost milky on the east banks. Thought the wind might stir up the bait fish, but turned everything off instead (the front came through, too). 
So, after foolishly trying flow areas on wingdams for 2 hours, I headed into the backwaters on wood, weeds, and sand flats… caught plenty of short fish, and managed 2 keepers (our limit) for 4 lbs total. 
All in all, for those fishing the MN qualifier this weekend, I hope the weather pattern stablizs for you as it was tough last night.
