Does lake pepin have any decent structure to it? When i have been on it all I could find was gradual sloping points with little or no vegetation on them? Coming from Lake Minnetonka if I don’t have vegetation on a point I don’t fish it. Besides there is rock pretty much everywhere in the lake so I really don’t understand why they would hold on that gradual of a break when the shoreline also produces the same structure. I have seen shad in the lake as well and have found them to be pretty much eveerywhere. The only places I have found any flow have been at the obvious spots, the head and tail end of the lake. I plan on possibly going down there tommorrow. If anyone has any information on where a guy might find some structure or areas to spend time on please either send a privatre message to me or respond on the post. I am not asking for specifics here just general stuff. That is unless your willing to give up a honey hole I have never spent time on a river lake before so i am not exactly sure how they work. Thanks Guys

Don’t overlook the weed edges in the bays to the north and south of Deer Island. I’ve taken some killer largies out of those sloppy looking weeds by burning traps through the openings and over the tops of the weeds. You’ll have to cope with an occassional big walleye or two but the bass you’re looking for will be close by.
