pool 9and 10 conditions

    Thinking of heading over Saturday,might be the last chance……. How’s the water conditions?

    Not sure about 9 & 10, but pool 8 is on the rise again.

    just took a ride…the river has looked much better thats for sure…She is on the rise and dirty dirty dirty !

    Went out on 9 this morning,high but found clean water and a lot of largemouth .No hawgs but some quality bass.
    low to mid 50’s water temp. Baits of choice: lip less crankbaits,chatterbaits and spinnerbaits.

    pool 8 is high and fast but the water is not all that dirty..clean enough for the smallies apparently. Thanks to slydog for the tip at the landing..we were going to target backwater largemouth, but after hearing about his day, we changed plans and smoked a bunch of smallies instead. My dad got the best of a new PB brown one at 19″ just shy of 4 lbs. He had a limit of probably 12-13 lbs while mine was just a wimpy 10 or so. I could have had 15 lbs if it wasn’t for 2 toads coming off…but there are no excuses, i just plain screwed up still a good day on the water, and the debris was not too terrible..the only problems I had were leaves everywhere once you get in the backwaters..good luck
