The river looks to be shaping up. I’ve got gulls in front of my house on the sandbar that was under water the last few days. Hopefully they’ll pull the water out quickly.

The current is still rolling which is to be expected and shouldn’t be that much of an issue.

The main concern was the water visibility. To be honest, I was pretty surprised at how it looked. Not nearly as muddy. I could see at least a foot down. That is by no means good for this time of the year. We should be experiencing 2-3 foot of clarity. Right now, I’ll take what I can get.

It’ll be interesting to see how the guys do in the MSBC 2-day Bass tourney this weekend. I wish them all luck.

I know it’s Champman’s to lose. Good luck Jim.

There’s still some grass to contend with. Leaves are another issue. We were able to cast some cranks and spinnerbaits tonight for a couple smallish fish. Sure beats sitting at home wondering if the fish are biting.

They must be really pulling the water. The current was rolling strong tonight.

Not much for shad busting the surface tonight either. Better days are ahead.

Do you have the 1400 square foot guest house?
