Spent Saturday from 8 until 2 fishing around PDC and boated 7 keepers on spinnerbaits and tubes. The key for me was finding pads with slight current on them. My best 5 would’ve been around 12.5 lb.

The bite was tough for myself and many of the anglers fishing the Iowa State tourney. 13.xx lb was leading it after day one and I think only 6 or so limits were brought in.

Congrats on the fish Glenn. I didn’t get to fish this weekend but I did see the weights of the IA Bass. Looked like it was tuff out there. Does anyone know the format of that tourney?

I didn’t fish the IA tournament.

I am not sure how things faired for them on day 2. Anyone?

If the format is like the WI Federation then it would be boater and non-boater. The non-boater gets 1/2 day at the trolling motor. Top 12 make the state team, but in Iowa they have a spring and fall state tournament, so they must take the two and add them up and then take the top 12.

I only seen saturdays results as well.

I guess I was confused how some teams had like 6 members and some had 2 or 3.

I think the # of anglers per team, just depended who from each club was going to fish it.

In Iowa Federation the top two places from the spring and top two from the fall automatically qualify for the team. The other 8 places are by points from fall and spring combined. Boaters are top six in total points.
Winner had 27.97 I think. It was 35 degrees Sat morning. Fishing had really change from weekend before. I ended up with 20.86 for fourth place.
