This Thursday morning was our first morning out since the big storm. Water temp. at ramp was 72*, visibility 2 1/2 feet, med. current. Everything looked about the same except after the first seven channel markers the rest of them out to the main channel have been pushed down river out of place. So hitting shallow water on the way out is a possibility until they are put back in place. Caught 7 species of fish.

In answer to your question, yes, some of them were bass. We do fish for large and small mouth bass, before the storm we were fishing for bass and were catching them using all methods. This morning, since we had a back up of night crawlers in our fridge we decided to still fish inside the islands to catch the 7 species which were: small bass, blue gill, perch, sheepshead, catfish, red horse sucker and one white bass. We’ll be back on the bass next week.
