Iowa Federation on 19

    The Iowa BASS Fed. is having its fall tourny on pool19 this weekend .Any of you Iowa guys coming down? It won’t be easy but 19 is on its way back. Lake Cooper use to be a bass factory but it has been tough for the past couple of years. Any takers up there?

    It is coming back? That’s good to hear. I thought it was all silted in and doomed for a carp fishery unless they did some dredging.

    Siltation is a big problem,but the river has more veggies coming back and that will in turn help the bass. We have a our fingers crossed

    Anxious to hear how the tournament goes down there Dave. Been doing more and more bass fishing on the two pools north of you. Seems to be a lot more bass than walleyes these last two years.

    Well it was tough but if you did your homework you could catch some fish. Two out of the three top weights came from pool 18.It took 18.92 lbs to win(10 fish) which is not too bad in August. Most of the good weights were grass and pad fish.Spinner baits and traps were good on Sat but it took a tube or worm-jig to get bit on Sunday. You can go to Iabass.com to check out the story but the results have yet to be released.
