    Guys
Fished the Fountain City tournament and got a pleasant surprise at the pre-tournament meeting. We won the bird drawing to get your entry fee back. We thought it was cool to fish for free till the weight-in. We ended up one place out of the money and had second big bass. Maybe the saying “there is no such thing as a free lunch” is true. The good news is I got to meet Mossboss in person. We may need to do a sanity check though, he was playing in a softball tournament, not fishing. Mossboss, how did you do?

I spent yesterday morning on Lake Minnetonka with the MN Bass Federation as fishing host to a group for the Republican National Committee. The guest of honor was the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Dennis Hastert. Got to shake the hand of, and had my picture taken with the third man in the succession of power in United States government. Three of the Minnesota Republican members of the House of Representatives took part in the morning. The Speaker caught the biggest bass, which looked to be about 3.5 pounds. It’s good to have some fisherman in positions of power.

See lots of new posts I need to catch up on.

We took third. Got our entry fee times 3 back anyway, but it always sucks not to be the one winner!

It was nice to meet you and Andy and put a face with the name.

No sanity check needed, I will freely admit I am likely clinically insane, or at least partially disturbed.

The more fisher/hunter people we can get in any level of Congress, the better. It’s always good of you to let the big guy in power catch the biggest fish too!!
