I hit up pool 14 for the 3rd time this year. My brother in-law has a tournament tonight on pool 14 so he wanted to get out and just check a few spots for fish. We tried alot of places and had fish in every place we went. I hooked 3 fish with one of them being a keeper. I got him while I was just holding my flippin jig in the water and picking something off the deck of the boat. I had the jig about 2 feet down and had a 14.5″ bass come up and get it. My two short fish came on swimjigs one in the grass and one on rocks. first thing in the morning I had a huge blow on a frog and I felt the fish shake its head 3 times before it spit the frog (I did not want to stick that one). I did like to see that our best spots on this pool were following the same patterns that I had going on pool 12 two weeks ago. I just hope I can make that pattern work on pool 13 next tuesday.
I had a fun time on the water until a big storm hit us. We might have got close to an inch of rain in about 20 min and the wind was blowing about 30-45 mph. The main chanel had 3-3.5 foot waves and that happend as we were going back to the ramp.
