Friday night the bass were very finicky at best in any place without current. I found the school I lost last week in a stump field just off the channel about 100 yards about a 1/2 mile as the crow flys from where I originally found them . Never would have known they were there if they had not been busting the water feeding so hard , and I can’t say I have ever fished that exact spot. First 8 or 9 out of 10 casts brought in only keeper fish topping out in the high threes,(first fish). Bite slowed down in 15 minutes , but only one fish under 15 inches the whole time. There were definitely bigger fish than I caught in the bunch , I had the fun of watching them feed about 10 feet away. They seemed very active for bigger fish. They would only touch one color worm bait texas rigged. Barely even nipped tubes.
Pool 8 bass.
