I’m not sure what you put on your jigs, but whatever it is, don’t stop!!

I’ll be honest, I’m not much of a swim jig fisherman. Sure, I have a handful and they get tied on for kicks every once in a while. Today, I tied on one of the 3 new jigs I got in the mail and had an absolutely fantastic day on the water. I’m surprised the jig still has any skirting left on after the abuse those LM Bass put it through. I wouldn’t say I’m a new convert to the art of swim jigs, but I can honestly say the guys from Brovarney have greatly increased my confidence in them.

Thanks Dan & Casey Brovarney!! You too Max.

I second that. They haven’t been my go to bait lately but they are a close second. I have had great sucess this spring into early summer with these jigs and need to put in for some of my favorite colors… O well pay day is this upcoming friday, you will be hearing from me soon dan .

I have a few brovarney swim jigs, but will admit that I havn’t used them very much. I personaly like Leathal Weapon Swim jigs a lot more. They both have simmilar designs, but I think that LW just look prettier. I throw brovarney whene I know that there is a good chance a northern will bite me off because I’m less worried about loosing them and I got the few Brovarney jigs I have for free.(thanks Cade) I have nothing against Brovarney and have caught some nice bass on them, but I am good friends with Scott Gardner(The maker of Leathal Weapon Swim Jigs) and he probably wouldn’t like if he saw me using any other jigs but his.

You must have some kind of big time deal with Leathal Weapon if they get mad for you using other swim jigs…are you an elite series pro?

Sorry guys. The reason Scott probably wouldn’t like if I used other jigs is because I have been working over at Bob’s Bait and Tackle and I get discounts on his jigs anyways. I didn’t mean to offend anybody. I still think Brovaney makes a great jig. It’s just been more convenient for me to run over to the bait shop and pick up some Lethal Weapons than to order Brovarney online. I guess it’s just what type of jig you first start to fish and get hooked on. I suppose if I would have started fishing Brovarney before LW I would like them more.

Scott makes a fine jig. So do some others. How about we not have a Pi$$ing match about this and talk about how to use this tool instead.

Here is my two cents worth…..Hit something or come over something on the retrieve.

    PS thanks BLUE

Yeah, Thanks Brovarney.. Thanks for nothing. Ya know how hard it is catching fish behind Tom let alone gving him a bait that these fish were all over… So the way I see it… Since we caught over 50 you owe me at least 25 good strikes…
Thanks. You will have an order shortly.

Coyote 223……… can someone on this website use another swim jig besides Brovarney? Can we not openly say what we like or dislike about different products? As usual, I come back to this website to check it out and it is the same “good old boys” network. I know this will get deleted and that is fine. However, it should be left for all to see and realize.

You bet! There’s a fair amount of great jig makers out there. I own some from Lethal Weapon, I have a couple from Tom Monsoor, and from the guys at Brovarney.

Sure can. I’d encourage anyone to voice constructive criticism. How can anyone fix a problem if they don’t know there is one.

That assessment may be a little off.

Riverbassman……There is no more of a good old boys network here than any where else. In fact I see it the other way around but thats only opinions, I’m sure that is based on how frequent a user is and how welcome they feel.
This thread was started as a thank you for whatever to Brovarney right. So whatever. It was that and some guys bs’ing about using the jigs. I think what Coyote meant was that this post was about that stuff and you came in and kinda said this other one is better and you know what you said. It was a post hi-jack but who cares. If you want to talk about how good or bad this jig and that jig are, start a new thread. It would probably get alot of activity. It just seemed like you jumped in and took the thread in another direction. Have a good day.

Start a conversation on the plusses and minuses of different swim jigs..

I’ll go first——–I wish Brovarney jigs had a grub keeper.

    Your turn.
