This is a picture from last Friday. Max McGrath was up fishing with his father Jeff . Max a 12 year old and a scarey look-a-like for my son Brad is holding a LARGEmouth.
He is using the short arm method of presenting his fish. It is only about 8 inches from his chest. After womping dad in the morning for N.Pike we swithed over about 10:30 and took about a 1 mile trip. About the third cast in this area the LM came into the boat. It was caught on a timberjig with a shiny black tube on it. A lot of folks might have wanted this one for the wall, but Max did the CPR quickly and got it back in the water. That smile came pasted on from the beginning of the morning and I’m sure it would have stayed there even if fishing had been lousy. What a fisherman!!!
