After a very slow day yesterday on 8 and the cold front deepening I really was worried about the bite . Jerry and Rick came all the way from Texas and I sure wanted to have
some fish in the boat. Well I read it all wrong. Around 40 fish today.. about fifteen northern today topping out around 12#s… and around thirty bass topping out at just short of three, which was also pretty close to the average also. We got a bunch of cookie cutter fish. Both guys were amazed by the bulk our largemouth had. Apparently their bass are much thinner, down there. Northern were on $1 spinnerbaits and $.89 silver dimpled spoons. Bass were mostly on Tequilla Sunrise worms “Texas Rigged” ofcourse. All fish were in the backwater and bays.

I was reminded yesterday that after the post went on the board that we actually had one BM near 4 and a second around 3.75. The days all run together and those fish were like the 3rd and 4th fish of the day. So I guess I underexagerated. excuuuuuuuse me. I know that I just broke a cardinal rule of fishing but as usual what I report you can depend on to be no bull. Now that the camera is back and fixed you will also note that we do not use the long arm method of photography.
