Took my 8 year old Granddaughter and 6 year old Grandson fishing this morning. We were looking for some bluegills. I got Tanner’s line fixed up and told him to throw it over by the rocks which he managed. While I was helping Taylor, Tanner ties into this smallmouth. I couldn’t get him to bring the fish up where I could net it and it came out of the water 4 or 5 times. Finnally he gets it to the net and it’s a 3 lb 11 oz 19 inch smallmouth. He wanted to keep it of course but then decided it probably had so many babies it was better to let her swim. Caught lots of small gills but went home with no fish but one great memory. Never ever leave the camera home.

Congrats to the little guy for catching a man sized smallie! Can’t wait till my grandkids are ready to fish with me!
