I had a few hours this morning to head over to the river. I took my brother with me today. We fished the lower end of pool 13 from 6-9. We caught 8 fish and 6 of the were keepers. The other two were 13.75″.

The fish were caught on a combo of buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. The bigger fish were on spinnerbaits. We were fishing pads and old reeds that were in about 9 inches of water. I really am starting to like my flat boat I can go just about any place .

All the fish in the reeds came off the buzzbaits, I think we had about 8 blows that we missed as well. I did have a huge pike take my buzzbait in the middle of the open water.

I have a tournament next Tuesday and I have a good pattern going. I just hope the weeds grow in a few places that still don’t have any. I should be able to bring 5 to the scales this tournament.

It was a great day untill the way home. I found a houst that was getting rid of an old cast iron wood burner. I have been looking for one to put in my garage. While attempting to put it in my brothers truck I triped and smashed my arm between that 300 pound stove and the bumper of his truck. It did not break but that is the most pain I have ever felt in my life. My arm is red and purple all over.

    Pictures of fish to come,

Wow!! you have a good eye. I did not think I was that reveling with any pictures . I hope they are still there and hungry tomorrow. It sounds like it might be a great day for fishing. Less wind and clouds with a 30% chance of storms.
